Sea Of Thieves- Play It First Contest Entry

In early March, Microsoft and Rare began a contest for their upcoming Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive game, Sea of Thieves. The contest requires participants to create a unique and entertaining image or video that would indicate the excitement the participant has for Sea of Thieves. Six winners are to be selected and as the name of the contest itself implies, each of those winners will be among the very first people to play Sea of Thieves, in an all expense paid trip to Rare’s headquarters in Twycross, England.

For my own personal entry, I created a character dubbed ‘Captain Durock’, a fish eating, treasure seeking pirate of the high seas who is willing to do “desperate things” for a chance to be the first play Sea of Thieves. I purchased the pirate costume and props that you’ll see in the video from a shop on Hollywood Blvd’s ‘Walk of Fame’. The majority of the video was shot in doors in my dining room whilst the rest was shot at two different locations: one in a grocery store parking lot and the other at the ocean in Long Beach. Everything went fairly smooth, minus one mishap in the ocean shoot that actually played to the favor of the scene, ironically enough!

So without further ado, meet Captain Durock and witness the “desperate things” he’d do to be the first to play Rare’s Sea of Thieves!

Happy New Year: 2016 Edition!

Another year has ended and thus a new year has begun. 2015 turned out to be quite an excellent year for me. Many things I had hoped for and dreamed of for such a long time came true this year, the greatest of which was the beginning of my long sought after career. I want to go into more detail on what made it such an excellent year, so I’m going to break it down and explain piece-by-piece…

Meeting Rare At E3 2015

I am a huge fan of video game developer Rare Ltd. I’ve been a fan of their’s over a period of twenty years and can honestly say I’ve love and enjoyed nearly every product that they’ve released in their thirty year history. So getting to meet many of them at E3 last June was literally a dream come true for me and I’m incredibly thankful that it transpired. Plus, they released Rare Replay, a compilation of thirty of their greatest games in August.

Relationship With Ultimate Source

At EVO 2015, I had the great honor of meeting Chris and Mo of Ultimate Source, two individuals that are part of a company creating Killer Instinct figures and other KI merchandise. It was a very humbling meeting that resulted in the beginning of a very fruitful relationship that has budded into something amazing these past six months. I look forward to continuing to work with them this year.

Career Beginnings

This past October, I finally began to live the life that I believe I am destined to live. I’m happier than ever to say that I’ve been consistently hired by various film making studios such as Warner Bros. and HBO to play various roles on several different television shows. They haven’t been anything very significant, but every starts somewhere and this is has been my beginning. I’ll pushing forward and working harder than ever before to become as successful as an actor as can be. With my strong work ethics, the will to pour my heart and soul into what I do, and wee bit of luck, I’ve no doubt that I’ll have a long and very fruitful career path laid out before me.

So that sums up the three things that made 2015 such a fantastic year for me. Now that 2016 is here, I can’t wait to see what the year holds and what all I can do personally to make even better than the last! It’s 2016… let’s do this!

To Fulfill A Destiny

One thing I believe in life is destiny. I think that everyone has something in life that they are meant to and supposed to achieve and that at some point that revelation comes to them. But unlike fate (something that happens regardless of choice), it’s up to the individual to decide to fulfill their destiny or not. A door will open, the chance to live and experience the life that is meant to be lived for the individual is ready to go, but it’s up to that person to walk through that door or risk it being closed forever. Perhaps a second, third, or even a fourth opportunity will arise, but it’s still a matter of choice.

Movie Of The Week- Disney & Pixar’s Inside Out

For the last few years, Pixar has been developing movies that tend to have an emotional tug to the heart. From the heart wrenching beginning of Up to the tear jerking ending of Toy Story 3, Pixar has proved they can develop movies that are playful and joyful for kids, yet has just enough of an emotional pull for adults to enjoy them just as equally. Inside Out maintains that same aesthetic by provoking sensitivity from one of mankinds most enduring aspects: memories.
